About us

A UK resource for studio production in motion

showfran was created for the people who make television happen: floor managers, camera operators, lighting crew, sound assistants and gallery teams. We cover studio equipment setup, dynamic camera operation, lighting and sound waves, and the workflows that keep television news and live shows running smoothly.

Our approach

How we teach

Three principles shape every course, from a two-day introduction to a full team programme.

  • Learn on a live floor

Every session happens in a working studio, with real cameras, real lights and real deadlines.

  • Movement with purpose

We teach camera, light and sound as one moving system, so crews stay calm when the rundown changes.

  • Workflows that last

Checklists, cue sheets and gallery routines your team can keep using long after the course ends.

From the floor to the gallery

A good bulletin is built in two rooms at once. On the floor, cameras glide, lights shape the set and microphones catch every word. In the gallery, the director cuts, the producer times and the sound supervisor balances.

showfran courses put both rooms in the same conversation, so each person understands the pressure and the language of the other. The result is calmer shows and fewer surprises on air.
